Where Can I Watch Episode 8 Whiskey Cavalier
Whiskey Cavalier recap: Season 1, Episode 8, "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind," Aired April 17, 2019
The events of this episode are bigger than the episode. With character breakthroughs, crucial teamwork, and life-threatening info, this episode was intense! I was nervous and on edge the entire time.
This Whiskey Cavalier 1×08 recap goes through all the emotions. Let's see what confessions Frankie and Will pulled out of a very specific dangerous mind.
Spy Christmas
Jai organized a Secret Santa for the group – thirty bucks or less, no gag gifts. He planned the gift exchange and attended the Spy Christmas party because Susan told him he needed to try to make friends. He did make an effort, but this advice might just come back to haunt Susan later (hint, hint).
Turns out Spy Christmas is a big deal for all spies – not just the team.

Gift highlights (spoiler alert for later events in Whiskey Cavalier 1×08): Will gave Frankie the bullet she shot him with on a necklace. Tina brought Standish Cuban rum from Miami, which he then re-gifted to Jai in return for the watch he originally bought but Jai didn't want. And Jai got Will a hat.

Prisoner transport
The group was sent to Europe to overlook a prisoner transport because said prisoner may have intel on The Trust. This prisoner was also so dangerous, his identity was kept secret from everyone. When the team got to their destination, they were greeted by none other than former FBI director and Will's ex-boss Alex Ollerman. So, yeah, he's #notdead.

Even more good (bad) news, someone on the inside was working with Ollerman. Standish found traces of someone trying to hack the security system, and Ollerman then revealed one of his guys took Susan. The guy working with Ollerman was Standish's nemesis introduced in the last episode, Todd. I knew I didn't like that guy for a reason.

Also, if anyone hurts Susan, we're going to have problems.
Group hug?
Immediately, Ollerman went after the team, attempting to break them up by exploiting each of their vulnerabilities. He preyed on Jai through a Susan-authored report, which labeled him as prone to isolation and, basically, terrible with people. Ollerman then sent Standish's brain through tons of worst-case scenarios regarding Tina, as she was away conducting a honey trap. And a huge shocker – when Frankie and Will ran into each other back in Moscow, she asked permission to tie up loose ends and kill Will. Ouch.

Even though Ollerman failed to rip the team apart in the end, Frankie came up with the plan to let him think he got to them in order to stall. She pretended to want in on The Trust's operations, even shooting Will to prove her "alliance."
Meanwhile, it took the rest of the team facing their vulnerabilities to save Susan from Todd. With Will and Frankie trying to make it seem like trust between them had broken down, Jai proved he could connect with people by working with Ray and Standish. Also, Standish totally ended up on top, while his nemesis ended up, well, dead.

The Trust
Frankie's tactic got Ollerman to confess that The Trust planned dozens of attacks – not just one big one. Will also saved Ollerman's ring, which contained loads of information crucial to The Trust's operations and worth billions.

Unfortunately, that's all the intel the team got before Ollerman got away. While it would've been so satisfying to watch Will put a bullet in Ollerman's smug face, I appreciate that they didn't make Will go out of character like that.
While I'm ridiculously stressed out that Ollerman got away, I love that this show has a bigger plot. I look forward to getting even more information on The Trust and seeing the pieces all fall together.

Frankie takes charge next week when Will gets kidnapped. With almost every character commenting on how Frankie can't quite hide how she feels about Will, I'm so excited to see what she's willing to do to save him. Next Wednesday can't come fast enough!
